Our facility is located on private property off Highway 49 in El Dorado. Visitation is available through appointment only.
Please contact us to participate in an activity or to schedule visitation. We will contact you shortly and confirm the visit with our address and any other relevant information.

Upcoming Events

- New Volunteer Orientation: Saturday, March 23rd at 10am.
- Weekly Volunteer Hours: Tuesday from 330-530pm, Wednesday from 2-530pm.
- Thursday, March 28th from 9-12pm
- Saturday, April 13th from 2-5pm
- Sunday, April 21st from 2-5pm
- On Property Event: Easter at the Ranch on Saturday, March 30th at 10am. (Registration Required)
- Community Event: Gold Country Horse Day on Saturday, April 6th.
- Ranch Skills: Saturday, May 25th at 10am.
- Art Among the Animals: Saturday, April 27th at 10am.

Activity Descriptions:
Open Ranch means that there is not a specific intent for the designated time. It can be used for volunteers, sponsor visits, tours, and more. All visitation must be confirmed through an event sign up or appointment.
Volunteer Hours are for current volunteers assisting with feeding, cleaning, grooming, training, and more.
Volunteer Training times are designated to focus on working with new volunteers or training a specific procedure.
Class Descriptions:
Sadly, due to insurance issues, we are no longer able to offer many of our programs for special groups. We appreciate your understanding and support.
Volunteer Orientation- Our class begins at 10:00am and goes until 11:00am. It will cover an overview of our mission, volunteer program, and a tour of the ranch. Please wear ranch appropriate attire and protective footwear.
Kids Camp- One to two hour programs offerings for children to enjoy the sanctuary and learn about animals and their needs.
Ranch Skills- Two hour class on a specific subject or species.
Homeschool Sessions- One hour educational tour of our sanctuary with hands on activities tailored for each age group. See program details for more information.
Art Among the Animals- Art among the animals is a program designed to expose children to animals in a creative light and allow them to use their imagination and different artistic skill sets to gain a deeper understanding of these animals.
